C&C4 Tiberian Twilight
Product Description
In the year 2062, humanity found itself on the brink of extinction. Tiberium, the mysterious, alien crystalline structure that infested Earth for decades and caused years of
relentless conflict between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, was close to rendering the planet uninhabitable. In the midst of this crisis, Kane,
Nod's prophetic leader, emerged from seclusion to deliver GDI the message that he had developed a system that could control Tiberium and harness its power. But he could not
build this "Tiberium Control Network" without GDI's cooperation. Thus, the two opposing factions-GDI and Nod-found themselves in a desperate and unlikely alliance to stop
Tiberium from extinguishing mankind.
Now, after 15 years, the network is nearly complete. Tiberium is under strict control and our revitalized planet is on the cusp of a new age of prosperity and
progress. It is only now that the world's citizens begin to seriously ponder why Kane chose to help, and what he will want in return. These questions and more lead to the
dramatic final act of the 15-year Tiberium saga in Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight.

Short Review
C&C4 Tiberian Twilight is the official conclusion to the Tiberium Saga. But was it concluded in a good way? There
are different opinions on this, but most of the fans that have been with Command & Conquer since the beginning does not like the overall concept.
This game is a big change in the series. Base building no longer exists in the way it did before, there are no resource gathering system and a population
cap has been addded. I would say myself that this no longer looks like the game series that was started back in 1995.
The overall gameplay of the game seems nice at the beginning; you start a game with 5vs5 and you spawn your Crawlers, move out, capture TCN nodes, protect
them so that you gain victory points. The first team that reaches 2500 (or another customized amount) wins the match. This can get quite boring over time because
the diversity and replayability that existed in most of the previous C&C games have been destroyed. There is not much variation to the gameplay as you
basically do the same every match. What is even worse is that you're not supposed to destroy your enemy, you're just supposed to gain enough victory points before them.
The graphics of the game is nice, but all previous games from the Tiberium Universe have had gritty, dark and serious graphics, while C&C4 builds upon the cartoony
and bright style from Red Alert 3. This can easily be spotted if you look at the missiles, lasers and so forth too. Also, when units and structures are destroyed, there
is no longer a proper destruction animation. They just disappear and an explosion big enough to almost hide the disappearance appears for a while. This really brings down
the graphics a lot.
The story of the game is average. There are only 3 introduction missions + 7 missions for both sides (GDI and Nod). This is far less than what we saw in C&C3 Tiberium Wars
which had approximately 15 missions each for both GDI and Nod + a few secret missions for the Scrin faction. The FMVs in C&C4 were very good. It was a nice idea to go for
the first-person perspective, but the small amount of missions still really bring down the story value a lot. Also the missions are not longer than normal, so there's nothing
to make up for it.
